Benfica and Sporting de Braga, the only Portuguese representatives in the Europa League, after the elimination of Sporting and Rio Ave, faced their opponents in the group stage this Friday, in a draw that took place in Nyon, Switzerland.
Jorge Jesus’ team, which was eliminated in the third qualifying round of Liga dos Campões, is in Group D of the competition and is opposed by Standard Liège (Belgium), Rangers (Scotland) and Lech (Poland).
As for Braga, led by Carlos Carvalhal, they will face Leicester (England), AEK (Greece) and Zorya Luhansk (Ukraine), in Group G.

Competition begins October 22
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the group stage of the second UEFA competition will not start until October 22, and everything will be decided in eight weeks: three consecutive, two interregnum and three more streaks.
The dates are October 22 (first day), October 29 (Monday), November 5 (third), November 26 (Wednesday), December 3 (Thursday) and December 10 (Friday and last).
