The former right-hand man of Isabel dos Santos wants the former vice president of Angola to be investigated for allegedly appropriating almost 200 million euros from Sonangol and that should have been used to buy a stake in Galp.

Mário Leite da Silva raises the suspicion that Manuel Vicente signed a false contract to withdraw funds from the Angolan oil company.

The supply contract established that the oil company would transfer more than 193 million euros to Esperaza, the holding company that would be owned by Sonangol and Isabel dos Santos and that would sign a contract with Américo Amorim for the purchase of 33% of Galp.

The central point of suspicion has to do with the date on which the seven-page document was signed: November 30, 2005, that is, two months before Sonangol entered the capital stock of Esperaza and before, therefore , of the society. in order to free up money, as it really happened.

Mário Leite da Silva’s complaint also points out the possible crimes that Manuel Vicente may have committed: embezzlement, breach of trust, fraud, economic participation in business, money laundering and counterfeiting.
