Portugal registers 95 more deaths and 5,080 cases of Covid-19

Portugal more than 5,080 cases of infection and 95 more deaths associated with covid-19 disease in the last 24 hours, according to the bulletin of the General Directorate of Health this Friday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,373 people have died in Portugal, out of 340,287 confirmed cases of infection. Another 4,100 patients were considered cured in the last 24 hours, totaling 263,648.

The DGS also says that the health authorities have 74,894 contacts under surveillance, 739 less than in relation to Thursday, and that 885 more cases are active, totaling 71,266.

With regard to 5,080 new cases, 2,395 registered in the north, 1,618 in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, 787 in the Center region, 193 in Alentejo, 66 in the Algarve, 16 in the Azores and 5 in Madeira.

Of the 95 deaths that are lamented in the last 24 hours, the worst record since the beginning of the pandemic, 41 occurred in the North, 32 in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, 16 in the Center region, two in Alentejo, two in the Algarve, one in the Azores and one in Madeira.
