Biden, known as the “middle class man”, has a 36-year career as a senator and eight years in the Barack Obama administration.

Harris became one of the candidates in the Democratic primaries, but he withdrew from the race due to lack of funds and in March declared his support for the former vice president.
Kamala Harris becomes the first woman to be elected to the position of Vice President. She was the third woman to be nominated as a vice presidential candidate in the United States., after Democrat Geraldine Ferraro in 1984 and Republican Sarah Palin in 2008, who were not elected.
