The Providência Cautelar contra la Festa do Avante affirms that the event increases the risk of contamination of the new coronavirus, but Jerónimo de Sousa guarantees that the event will take place.
Provisional caution against Festa do Avante! has already been sent to the Civil Court of Lisbon
The precautionary measure against the Avante party has already been referred to the Civil Court of Lisbon, according to the Seixal Court ruling.
The Seixal judge, to whom the case had been distributed, declared himself incompetent to judge the request, alleging that the PCP, addressed to Providência Cautelar, is based in Lisbon and not in the municipality where the incident takes place.
The next step is to be notified by the Communist Party to defend against the judicial request for the Party’s suspension, which is scheduled to start next week.
PCP says it will not release a document with DGS guidelines for Avante!
DGS has already prepared a first opinion on the Festa do Avante! Graça Freitas confirms that the PCP has already received the document and now it is up to the party to decide whether or not to disclose the guidelines. Contacted by SIC, the party says it will not reveal the opinion.
DGS clarifies, however, that this first opinion may change due to the complexity of the initiative.
THE SEIXAL COURT WILL NOT DECIDE ON THE PROVIDENCE TO PREVENT!
The Civil Court of Seixal will not decide on Providência Cautelar to prevent the Festa do Avante. The judge sent the case to Lisbon, where the PCP is based.
Therefore, the decision is postponed. As the case is not of immediate urgency, The PCP must be notified for the defense before the decision of the new judge., to whom the process is distributed.
