According to data from the General Directorate of Health, there are more than 20 active covid-19 outbreaks in homes. In the north, Arouca and Sernancelhe, the number of cases is increasing again. In Santarém, two people died and six more Lar Fonte Serrã users tested positive for the virus.
Fonte Serrã nursing home, Santarém
Currently there are 60 infected people, 17 are employed and are completing prophylactic isolation at home. From the same institution, two elderly people over 70 years of age died on Friday night at the Santarém District Hospital.
Sernancelhe
Further north, in Sernancelhe, district of Viseu, there are more and more active chains of contagion.
The number of infected people has risen to around 30, a number that may still rise.
There are infections in two homes in the region: Ferreirim and Santa Casa da Misericórdia, where both have positive employees in the tests. All users and employees of the institutions will be evaluated this Monday, on the recommendation of the General Directorate of Health.
A GNR soldier is also waiting in isolation for the test result, after having been in contact with an infected person.
In total, more than 40 tests are still awaited.
Arouca
Now there are 8 more infected people in Arouca, bringing the number of active cases in the municipality to 190. There are still 6 deaths, a figure that has not changed since the start of the pandemic.
The main outbreak occurs in the Santa Cruz de Alvarenga Home for the Elderly, where more than 70 people are infected.
Lousada
In Lousada, all the services of the Hospital da Santa Casa da Misericórdia are temporarily suspended. This after 18 positive cases have been identified.
However, the 10 users who tested negative were transferred to the Rovisco País Medicine and Rehabilitation Center.
Famalicão
In Famalicão, 43 people are also infected in one household. 26 are users and only one is hospitalized with a stable clinical picture.
No country there are already more than 20 active shoots, and Marta Temido, Minister of Health, and Ana Mendes Godinho, Minister of Labor and Social Security, will be heard in Parliament soon. The purpose is to try to find a response to increased chains of contagion in households.
