The man is wanted by police authorities because he is suspected of being responsible for dozens of robberies. Most of which are cars parked on the street. It was also during one of those robberies that the girlfriend was shot by a PSP agent. The case occurred in September this year, in São João Madeira, when André “Pirata” and Inês Carvalho, 23, broke the glass of a vehicle to steal it. But at the time, the couple was being watched by a PSP team that was investigating the wave of robberies that hit that region and that tried to get close to André and Inês.
However, when they became aware of the police presence, they tried to escape and directed their car towards the officers. You had to jump to avoid being hit and another shot to stop the escape. One of the bullets hit Inês, who followed instead of the perch.
Ten minutes after the shooting, André “Pirata” arrived at the São João da Madeira Hospital, opened the door and pushed the body of his girlfriend out of the car. Inês would die that morning.
