Thousands of people are in Nazaré this Thursday to see the giant waves that characterize that place. However, physical distance and the correct use of masks are not always met.

Nazaré prohibits access to the Lighthouse to avoid an excessive concentration of public on the cliffs
The City Council and the Nazaré Captaincy decided to cut off pedestrian access to the Farol highway, to contain the excessive concentration of the public watching the giant waves and guarantee safety conditions, reported the captain of Porto.

“Pedestrian access is going to be prohibited and we are going to appeal to the dispersal of people concentrated near the Forte de S. Miguel to try to reduce the conglomerates,” Zeferino Henriques, commander of Porto da Nazaré (Leiria district) told Lusa.

It is about the presence of thousands of people who today concentrated on the cliffs of Praia do Norte, after having announced on social networks that giant waves were expected, for Wednesday and Thursday.
