Club de las Azores, like Benfica, is the subject of an investigation by the Public Ministry.

This Monday, the Public Ministry (MP) published a note that accredits the realization of a series of raids involving Benfica, Santa Clara, managers and service providers to the SAD involved.
There are 29 records, according to a statement from the MP: eight addresses, one the foundation, six to the premises of three sports companies, nine to another type of company, three to two sports clubs and two to law firms.
The investigations investigate facts that could include crimes of economic participation in business or undue obtaining of advantages, active and passive corruption in the sports phenomenon, qualified tax fraud and money laundering. Various kinds of businesses are at stake, all of them related to professional football. and in relation, namely, with the collaboration contracts for financial-sports cooperation and their respective modifications, as well as the agreements to modify the collaboration contract ”, states the MP’s note.
