Russian center wishes improvements to president vaccinated with Sputnik V

If the infection is confirmed, vaccination guarantees a quick recovery without serious symptoms, ”wrote the Gamaleya Center for Microbiology and Epidemiology of the Russian Ministry of Health on the social network Twitter.

The Argentine president, who turned 62 last Friday, had been vaccinated against Covid-19, and confirmed that he had an antigen test positive and awaits the result of the PCR test.

“Although I am waiting for confirmation by the PCR test, I am already isolated, following the current protocol and following the instructions of my doctor,” says Fernández, who on January 21 received the first dose of the “Sputnik-V” vaccine and the On February 11, he received the second dose of the vaccine, the Argentine Presidency informed EFE.

The same sources specified that the president tested positive in a “rapid test”, but awaits complete confirmation with the PCR, the result of which will be known in “a few hours.”

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Argentina has accounted for more than 2.3 million confirmed cases and about 56 thousand deaths, according to the count by the US Johns Hopkins University.

The country registered a peak of infections on October 21, with 18,326 cases, decreasing the number of infections until March, when the current upward curve began.

The covid-19 pandemic caused at least 2,829,089 deaths worldwide, as a result of more than 129.5 million cases of contagion, according to a report prepared by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
