Together for 21 years, Manuel Luís asked: “Why did you fall in love with me?” Goucha asked her husband. “Some people invited me to a Santo António dinner and that’s where I found you,” Rui replied. “Whoever took me to dinner introduced me as if I were a regular, and I played with that, and of course it was a joke, it was the first time I saw you in person,” he replies.
“You met me and we sure have been together for 21 years,” Goucha said. “Yes, but when I met you it was evident that we were playing, and when I left the restaurant, I think we hugged each other and you melted with laughter. After a few days, I was at home and you rang the doorbell,” explains Rui. . “So I jumped in,” Goucha shot.
“It is not easy to live with you, nor should it be easy to live with people who have the same job. They are people with a very big ego, and we have to get used to it. We have to accept or not live with that person, ”he says. Rui. “There were times when I didn’t know how to act. It was the first time I lived with a man, although I had relationships with men, I never lived with men, I always lived with women, it was the first relationship I would have with a man … and at first I, I don’t know if you remember, I said: ‘I didn’t come to destroy, I came to build,’ ”he added.
“We have built a lot because we complement each other a lot, although different, we share to row in the same boat,” said Rui. “Our marriage continues because we feel that we are connected, and then there have been so many struggles that we have had that they are important milestones of conquest, that they cannot disappear from one moment to the next. We know that all couples have problems, and so do we. We had them and maybe we still have them, but the important thing is the solution and not the problem, ”explains Oliveira.
“I like your generosity, the being that you are, the frontal way you sometimes treat things, the drive,” she said.
