This Sunday, December 27, Renato was the player of “Big Brother – The Revolution” that obtained the fewest number of votes and, therefore, had to leave home. After being considered the favorite of the public, the former contestant confessed in a press interview that not reaching the final was like “dying on the beach.” Renato took the opportunity to mention that the future with Jéssica Fernandes is still unknown and even revealed that the condoms in the house were from Zena and André.
Last week, when André Abrantes was expelled from “Big Brother”, the musician said that the “damaged” condoms belonged to Renato and Jéssica. “The truth is that Zena and André didn’t know how things were going there”, he is stressed. “But it’s not true,” said the former handball player, when asked if the condoms were his.
“Jessica didn’t want to have sex there because of her parents, I respected them,” Renato added. “The actions belong to those who make them,” said the former competitor that André said that the condoms belonged to him. The musician made the statement to defend his girlfriend Zena, but ended up involving Jessica.
The former handball player revealed that Rui Pedro, Michel and Jéssica Antunes left the program were the moments in which he felt the lowest in the game. “After a month or two, it starts to get complicated. I ended up feeling more depressed,” he said. “It saddens me to know that I am the favorite and to have a difference of 4%”He explained, referring to the margin of difference he had in the vote regarding Pedro.
Although the final prize of 50 thousand euros is no longer within reach, Renato takes out of the TVI program a relationship that can continue abroad. “I never think of anything long term, but I want to have a conversation with Jessica and find out how we’re going to do it,” he said.
At the gala this Sunday, the former competitor spoke with Pedro Fernandes, Jessica’s father, who approved the relationship. However, Renato’s family does not appreciate the romance. “They know that when I like someone, they can’t do anything to bring me down. They continue to support me and respect my decisions. But for now, it’s an unknown question that I can’t answer,” he said.
Admission to the program to escape the sadness
In the first weeks of the reality show, the possibility of feeling something for Zena was raised, but Renato guaranteed that he never had any intention other than friendship. “I never looked at her but at a friend. I had no intention of approaching”he said, adding that he never thought of falling in love with Jessica. The former handball player joined “Big Brother” to escape reality.
“I felt things at home that I had never experienced in my life,” he said, taking the opportunity to mention that Jessica made him a more serene person. Renato has a troubled past, in which he even broke a glass that left him with an arm injury for life. “I can’t say I was getting depressed, but before I entered the program I was very low”he revealed, explaining that the injury prevented him from playing highly competitive handball.
