After Sunday brought a reduction of almost 1,700 new cases compared to Saturday, with 4,788 infected, the downward trend continues this Monday, the day on which the epidemiological bulletin of the General Health Directorate presents more 4044 infections, increasing to 264,802 or total number of cases. And here a reservation is necessary: ​​the number of new infections is usually lower on Mondays, and the explanation may be that fewer diagnostic tests are performed on weekends, since there are fewer open laboratories.

Looking at the regions in isolation, the North now has 2,258 more infections (representing 55.8% of the current total), amounting to 137,621 the total number of cases in the region. Lisbon and the Tagus Valley add another 1052 cases (in 90,035), the Center plus 490 (in 25,503) Alentejo plus 68 (5237) and the Algarve plus 126 (4805).
