The Public Security Police (PSP) was received with bullets and stones and bottles thrown in the neighborhood of Cova da Moura, in Amadora, on Sunday night, when they tried to demobilize a party with more than a hundred people, confirmed to the PUBLIC the security force.

“The PSP was alerted by several calls for a meeting of around one hundred [de pessoas]. When they arrived at the place, they found stones, bottles and shots being thrown, “said a police source.

The reports counted more than 200 people at the party, but PSP told PUBLIC that it could not get a number, only that it was “more than a hundred.” Paulo Flor, mayor of the PSP – Amadora police station, told the Observer that most of the people were “between 15 and 20 years old.”

During this operation, two people were arrested, according to the security force. The police also indicated that one of the officers was injured after being hit by a stone.

According to Rádio Renascença, around midnight a PSP operation was being carried out to restore normalcy in the Cova da Moura neighborhood.
