However, abstention can reach 61.5% and, according to “Jornal de Notícias”, one of the factors that helps to explain the demobilization is the response on the importance of these presidential candidates. Of those surveyed, 43% attribute “great” importance to the next elections, ten points less than in November. And 17% attributed “little” or “no” importance.
