In Aljezur, Algarve, on the sidelines of an economic visit, the Head of State summarized: “We hope it does not happen [o agravamento] and this is in the hands of the people. Everything that has to be decided is decided and there are progressive degrees of intervention ”.

“If the death toll increases, then we have a serious problem,” he said, answering questions about the state of emergency and curfews in certain areas or regions. Recalling that in Lisbon there was a total closure, he added: “Nobody wants these radical forms. For that, it is necessary for people to make a great effort.”
