Portugal with three more deaths and 244 cases of covid-19

There are three more deaths and 244 new cases of covid-19 in Portugal in 24 hours. The deaths occurred in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, a region with 137 new infections.

Portugal has a total of 58012 cases of infection by the new coronavirus and 1822 deaths associated with covid-19, according to the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

This monday there 244 new cases – 137 in the Lisbon region and the Tagus valley, 83 in the north, seven in the center, seven in the Alentejo and seven in the Algarve, plus three more in the Azores.

the three deaths registered in the newsletter this Monday took place in the Lisbon region and the Tagus Valley – two men and a woman over 80 years old.

They are 76 recovered patients (total of 41,961) and another 165 active cases (total of 14,229).

They are 349 hospitalized patients with covid-19 (eight more) and 41 remain in intensive care units.

Regarding weekly update of cases by municipality, Lisbon leads with 5087 infections, followed by Sintra (4279), Loures (2539), Amadora (2494) and Vila Nova de Gaia (1920).

There are still more than a thousand positive cases in Odivelas (1806), Cascais (1596), Porto (1585), Matosinhos (1394), Vila Franca de Xira (1323), Braga (1379), Maia (1001).
