Meeting of the Council of Ministers
The Council of Ministers meets to decide whether to move towards more restrictive measures in place or towards a general curfew, which implies re-decreeing the state of emergency. PSD supports the Government in the decision, but the left does not want to impose very strict rules.
The first scenario on the table is very similar to that in force in the municipalities most affected by the pandemic in the north of the country, which will lead to a reinforcement of teleworking whenever possible, restrictions on business hours and restaurants and cultural events.
If these measures are approved, they would cover localities with 240 new cases of contagion per day, in the last 14, per 100,000 inhabitants, and those bordering the most complicated from the pandemic point of view.
The second scenario involves the activation of a new state of emergency, which allows a curfew from 11:00 p.m.
