Portugal is in contingency. Here are the rules that must be followed

HE increase in the number of cases COVID-19-19, back to school and workplace dictated one more response ‘muscular” on the part of the Government to face the pandemic. Therefore, Continental Portugal has been like this since 00:00 hours this Tuesday of contingency situation, which means that there are more restrictive measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

This situation will continue until 23:59 on the 30th of September, according to the decree-law that was approved by the Council of Ministers last week.

One by one, here are the new measurements:

  • Meetings limited to 10 people throughout the territory of mainland Portugal. Previously, the limit was 20 people;

Commerce

  • Commercial establishments cannot open before 10 am (with exceptions);
  • Establishment of the closing time between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., by municipal decision;
  • In areas restoration of shopping centers, maximum limit of four people per group;

Alcoholic drinks

  • Prohibition of the sale of alcoholic beverages at service stations and, after 8 pm, in all establishments (except meals);
  • Prohibition of the consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads;

Schools

  • Return to face-to-face classes, between 14 and 17 September: Adaptation of the functioning of schools to the new health reality;
  • Contingency plans in all schools;
  • Distribution of PPE;
  • Reference of interim in case of suspicion, positive case or outbreaks;
  • In restaurants, cafeterias and pastry shops 300 meters from schools, a maximum limit of four people per group;

Houses

  • District rapid intervention brigades to contain and stabilize outbreaks in homes;

Sports events

  • Sports venues remain without public.

Medids for areas metropolitan areas of Lisbon and Porto

  • Mirror teams: billing scales between telecommuting and face-to-face work;
  • Mandatory time delay: Differentiated arrival and departure times;
  • Different times for breaks and meals;
  • Motion reduction pendulous.

A pandemic of COVID-19-19 has already caused at least 924,968 deaths and more than 29 million cases of infection in 196 countries and territories, according to a report prepared by the French agency AFP.

In Portugal, 1,871 people died from 64,596 cases of infection confirmed, according to the most recent AddressGeneral Health (DGS).
