Portugal registered, in the last 24 hours, 4,044 new cases and 98 deaths (a new high) because of the new coronavirus. The data appears in the most recent bulletin published this Sunday by DirectionGeneral Health (DGS).
The values in question represent a variation of 1.17% in relation to the number of cases in the country, and a variation of 1.79% with respect to Deceased.
With these new data, the country now has a total of 5,559 deaths and 348,744 cases of infection, since the beginning of pandemic.
With respect to hospitalizations, the report reveals that 3,157 people are hospitalized, that is, 64 more than yesterday, of which 513 are in intensive care, another 10.
Health authorities take into account watchncia 74,012, and there are also 2,869 people who have overcome the disease in the last 24 hours. In total, 271,322 have been recovered.
By regions, the North continues as the area with the most infections confirmed – 182,599 -, 2,143 more than in the last bulletin. As to Deceased, 2,659 have been accounted for since pandemic, plus 43.
Follow Lisbon and Tagus Valley with 113,094 cases (more than 1,112) and 1,919 deaths (more than 30). At Center there are 36,616 infections, others 520 and 752 Deceased18 more than yesterday.
