The Judicial Police (PJ) arrested a 54-year-old man for allegedly committing a crime of qualified homicide in the attempt in Arouca.
The official revealed this Tuesday, in a statement, that the events occurred on the afternoon of the 20th of this month, in a context of intra-family violence and during a process of separation. The man attacked the woman with a blunt object at the family home.
The victim is hospitalized in very serious condition.
The detainee, without a criminal record, will be present at the first judicial interrogation to apply the coercive measures that he deems appropriate.
