COVID-19 Vaccine Results
Among the 43,538 participants in this phase 3 trial, not all volunteers received the vaccine and some received a placebo. Pfizer identified 94 positive cases of COVID-19, with an effectiveness rate greater than 90%. The company says these are encouraging results.
The two labs said they intend to supply 50 million doses worldwide in 2020 and up to 1.3 billion in 2021.
