Ready for launch.

The Last of Us Part 2 is ready for release.

Neil Druckmann, Creative Director of the highly anticipated sequel, confirmed that The Last of Us: Part 2 has reached Gold status and that means it has been sent to Sony for certification and release.

Furthermore, by delivering a final and finished version, Naughty Dog ensures that the disc can go to factories for serial reproduction and worldwide distribution.

Therefore, the launch on June 19 is assured.

Druckmann also commented that the 3-week postponement allowed the team to spend the month of April polishing the game and putting it to the quality standard they desire.

The switch to remote work, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, also brought unexpected setbacks, but the team used the extra weeks to finish polishing and correcting bugs. It is now ready to be released.
