There are another 29 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in the region in the last 24 hours and only seven recoveries, bringing the total number of active cases to 244.

Peniche (three), Porto de Mós (two), Batalha (one), Marinha Grande (one) and Alcobaça (one) are the remaining municipalities with the most cases confirmed by the health authorities since yesterday.

There have been seven recoveries since Wednesday. In addition to the recovery in Leiria, Alcobaça has three more recovered people and Porto de Mós, Pombal and Caldas da Rainha plus one each.

Since March, 1,337 people have tested positive for infection with the new coronavirus in the region. Of these, 1,049 have already recovered and have confirmed 44 deaths associated with Covid-19. There are 244 active patients.
