This information has been known since August, when we discovered that the new PS5 PlayStation HD camera is not compatible with PlayStation VR. To use PlayStation VR on PS5, you need the original PS4 camera, but it only works through an adapter.
Sony offers the adapter free of charge to anyone who has purchased PlayStation VR. On the support site you can now order your adapter, you just need to indicate the serial number of your device.
According to the PlayStation FAQ, the adapter will start shipping to Europe in mid-November. The estimated delivery time, once the order is placed, is two weeks.
To connect the PlayStation Camera to the PS5 with the adapter, you need to connect the adapter to the USB Type A port on the back of the console. Next, you need to connect the PlayStation Camera to the AUX port of the adapter.
