Oppo smartphone brand arrives in Portugal

After being present in Spain, Italy or France, Oppo announces a new step in European expansion, with the arrival on the Portuguese market. Through a statement, the company announces that although the Oppo A9 will be the first phone to reach the Portuguese market.

The first Oppo model to arrive in Portugal is the A9, a mid-range terminal, with prices starting at 270 euros. It is a model released in the neighboring country in late 2019, with four rear lenses (48, 8, 2 and 2 MP) and a 16 MP front camera. It has a 6.5-inch screen, with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a drop-shaped notch (or notch). Inside, it has a Snapdragon 665 processor and a 5000 mAh battery. Some stores offer the 4 GB RAM version with 128 GB of storage or, in the case of the store online from NOS, an 8GB version with 128GB.

Oppo’s statement states that it will be available for purchase at NOS and at retailers Media Markt, Worten, El Corte Inglés, PC Fale and Fnac.

In Portugal, versions with the colors Marine Green and Space Purple are available.

The company says that “we will soon make more devices available to Portuguese consumers,” in addition to this mid-range model.

Oppo was officially launched in 2004 in China, and has since expanded to the international market. In the last three months of 2019, the brand represented an 8% global market share.

Oppo is part of the BBK group, which also owns Vivo, Realme and OnePlus. Counterpoint Research data shows that the group’s brands accounted for 20% of the smartphone market in the third quarter of 2019.
