[ad_1]

The OnePlus 8 family has just been introduced to the world. It seems that the brand that always stood out for the prices below the superior competition this time did not resist and put a model above € 1000 on the market. It is the OnePlus 8 Pro that reaches this price, but we will not talk about the prices.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is the brand’s first smartphone that enables wireless battery charging. To this end, the brand launched the Warp Charge 30 wireless charger, a wireless charge that charges at 30W, with surprising results. But it seems that the brand forgot a little detail …

OnePlus 8 Pro has its own wireless charger ... but with a problem

The new OnePlus 8 Pro

The new OnePlus 8 was presented in the course of yesterday, confirming many of the rumors released on the Internet in recent weeks.

The Pro version is the one that deserves more prominence, mainly because it finally comes with wireless charging, a technology that fans of the brand have long demanded. Therefore, the 4510 mAh battery comes with Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology and wireless charging technology, both at 30W.

In addition to the detail of the battery charge, there are other characteristics that deserve to be highlighted.

The OnePlus 8 Pro has a 6.78-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and QuadHD + resolution. The processor that equips it is the Snapdragon 865 and is available in versions of 8 GB + 128 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB, the latter being the one that has a price higher than € 1000.

In the field of photography, it also brings good news. At the rear, it offers a four-camera module. It consists of two 48 MP, although with different sensors, a wide angle and an ultra wide angle. Then there is an 8 MP camera dedicated to zoom that can go up to 30 times, and a last 5 MP camera that serves as a color filter.

Of course, OxygenOS also has good news, where fluidity, intelligence, and speed were prominent features during the presentation.

Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger

Along with this launch, the brand also launched a dedicated charger for wireless charging. In addition to being targeted at the OnePlus 8 Pro, the Warp Charge 30 wireless charger is compatible with other smartphone models under the Qi / EPP standard.

The charger allows the smartphone to be placed vertically and charged, as indicated above, at a maximum power of 30W. This feature makes it one of the fastest on the market to charge wirelessly. During the presentation they even presented the following comparison.

Also, it comes with a built-in fan and a customizable night mode, which charges the smartphone at 10W instead of 30W.

But then what is the problem with this wireless charger?

The problem may not seem like anything special, but it can be very embarrassing for users. The Warp Charge 30 wireless charger comes without a removable cable. That is, the cable connecting the charger to the power adapter cannot be removed.

Problems arise when the user wants to connect it in a place where only one cable runs and the power adapter does not fit. On Twitter, the alert was left by Ron Amadeo de Arstechnica, with the following images to follow and that make the mistake made by the brand very visible.

It is easy to see that the most common method of laying a USB cable should have been used to make the connection between the power adapter and the charger.

As a final note, the charger is already present in the OnePlus store for € 69.95, however, it is still in the pre-sale stage.
