One death, 115 new cases and 120 recoveries in the Leiria region – Leiria Region

There is one more death to cry in the municipality of Leiria due to complications associated with Covid-19. This death brings to 202 the total number of deaths registered in the district of Leiria and the municipality of Ourém since the start of the pandemic.

Queen syrup was the municipality with the most infections diagnosed in the last 24 hours -38-, followed by Leiria (with 26 more), Alcobaça (24), Peniche (13), Marinha Grande (5), Nazareth (4), Porto de Mós (3), Bombarral me Obidos (1 each).

As for recoveries, Pombal stands out with 64 patients recovered since yesterday. Already Leiria registered 31, Porto de Mós 8, Alcobaça 7, Battle 5 e Great Marina 1.

So far, 8,910 people have tested positive for the new coronavirus in the region, with 6,844 already recovering, which is equivalent to around 77%. This Friday, the number of active cases is 1,864 (six less than yesterday).

The data of the five municipalities included in the Pinhal Interior Norte Health Center Group need to be updated by the District Civil Protection Commission from the 23rd.

65 more deaths in the country

This Friday 25, Portugal counts 65 more deaths related to covid-19 and 4,146 new cases of infection by the new coronavirus, according to the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

The DGS epidemiological bulletin also indicates that 2,754 people are hospitalized, 99 less than on Thursday, of which 504 are in intensive care, that is, one less.

Since the start of the pandemic, Portugal has registered 6,478 deaths and 391,782 cases of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, with 71,178 active today, 1,488 more than on Thursday.
