João Noronha Lopes, candidate for the Benfica presidency, ensured the return of the Benfica train, should he be elected, and for less money than, he says, SAD invested in Jhonder Cádiz. At a dinner in Felgueiras, where he gathered several benefactors, the manager made clear his intention to revitalize the project, without depending on the availability of the PC.

“For less than a Cádiz, a business that no Benfica player understands yet, we are going to bring the Benfica train back. We are going to turn it into a real living museum and we are going to run this country and bring the fans to the stadium! ” Noronha Lopes announced, referring to the Venezuelan player bought from V. Setúbal and subsequently transferred (now to Nashville, from MLS), without ever having worn the red jersey.

The candidate wants to connect partners and supporters from the north to the south of the country. “This project will be a materialization of the ambition, professionalism and Benfica that we want to bring to the club.
