No presence regime. Private schools can operate on the eve of holidays

Public schools will not operate on November 30 and December 7, just before the holidays, but this reality may not apply in the private education sector.

Rodrigo Queiroz e Melo, executive director of the Association of Private and Cooperative Education Establishments, says, in statements to TSF, that the choice of having classes or not is the decision of the establishment. However, the reduction of the circulation of people will be guaranteed, since the classes, to be held, will be non-face-to-face.

“On the eve of a holiday, as in the whole country, schools will be closed to the public”, guarantees the head of the Association of Private and Cooperative Educational Establishments, who assures that “some schools have chosen to offer non-face-to-face education to Tus students”.

The activities are justified “either because there was work to be done or because there were some evaluations,” and Rodrigo Queiroz e Melo explains that the rules will not be violated by the private sector. “As long as it is not in person, they can take this option. Right now, the country is going through a very difficult public health situation, so it would not be acceptable for any institution to be outside of this effort.”
