The districts of Braga and Viana do Castelo add 479 new confirmed covid-19 infections since last Monday, according to data published today by the General Directorate of Health (DGS).
Thus, since the beginning of the pandemic, Minho totaled 6,996 confirmed cases.
The district of Braga registers 410 more new cases. According to the DGS report, the district has accumulated 6,069 confirmed cases.
The municipality of Guimarães is once again the one with the highest increase in new cases: there are 139 more in one week, totaling 1,556.
Braga is the second municipality in the Minho with the most new cases: 70, for a total of 1,670.
Famalicão has 57 more cases (total 915), Barcelos more 32 (502), Vizela more 25 (238), Fafe more 20 (200) and Vila Verde more 19 (436).
In addition, almost all the municipalities of the Braga district registered increases: Amares 131 (+9), Póvoa de Lanhoso 155 (+14), Esposende 113 (+19), Vieira do Minho 43 (+2), Celorico de Basto 39 ( +2) and Cabeceiras de Basto 31 (+2).
Terras de Bouro maintains the same 40 as last week.
In the district of Viana do Castelo, according to the report, there are 7 new cases, adding to Alto Minho now a cumulative 927 infections since the start of the pandemic.
The largest increases were registered in Viana do Castelo with 30 more cases (339 in total) and Valença with 16 more (83).
Ponte de Lima has 7 more (81 in total) and Caminha 10 more (65).
Monção now has 133 cases (+2), Melgaço 70 (+2), Cerveira 28 (+3) and Paredes de Coura plus 1 (11)
Ponte da Barca maintains the same 31 cases and Arcos de Valdevez has one less (87).
Portugal today registers 13 more deaths and 734 new cases of covid-19 infection, compared to Sunday, according to the daily epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS).
