A baby, just over 5 months old, was found inside his mother’s closet, who hid it there waiting for the girl to starve to death in Karpinsk, Russia.
The boy, according to the Russian press, only survived because his 13-year-old brother gave him leftovers of food and water, hidden from his mother.
The baby was only discovered, inside a gym bag placed in the mother’s closet, after someone heard her baby cry at the 13-year-old party.
Authorities were alerted and the baby was transported by helicopter to hospital, where she remains in intensive care.
The mother, who is said to have given birth in April and the case is under investigation by Russian police authorities. The 37-year-old woman risks a prison sentence of up to seven years if she is accused of torture.
