Mother and daughter arrested by PSP for drug trafficking

On December 13, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command (Cometlis) arrested two women, aged 27 and 67, suspected of the crime of drug trafficking.

In a statement, this Wednesday, the PSP emphasizes that the arrests are the result of “permanent effort to monitor the criminal dynamics related to drug trafficking that takes place in the historic area of ​​Lisbon.” Thus, the security force recently set up a drug sales point that had been settling in the Intendente and Mouraria area and that was “run by two women closely linked to a family with different backgrounds in this criminal spectrum.” “.

In view of the information and evidence gathered, the PSP planned and carried out a criminal investigation operation that culminated in the arrest, in flagrante delicto, of the two suspects, mother and daughter. Both had a “true device for the sale of drugs to the final consumer”, characterized by security guards and articulated with other collaborators who watched over the promotion and protection of the activity. The women were tasked with storing and transporting, from house to house, the drug that would eventually reach the hands of the final consumer.

During the process, the PSP seized 330 daily doses of heroin, 20 daily doses of cocaine, 30 grams of product suspected of cutting heroin, in addition to other substances and materials related to the preparation, packaging and distribution of the narcotic. .

The daughter had already served a prison sentence for the same events.

Presented to the Competent Judicial Authority for the first judicial interrogation and application of the respective coercive measures, the offender, the daughter, the preventive prison and the mother received weekly weekly measures.
