The idea of an internal conflict in Chega about to implode became even more evident in September when, during the Second Party Convention, the list of national leaders was voted on several times because there was no consensus. This impasse made André Ventura’s resignation briefly on the table.
“Chega is a party of people of the system, of the worst that the system has and that is eager to find a pot in the Government. They are trying to build coalitions for the following municipalities and legislatures, even though André refuses to do so. [em 2023] to see if they win seats. The strategy of the National League, it is now known, will not be very different from the one that gave rise to Chega in the media space.
