The second stage of the Flu Vaccination Campaign vaccinated 3,000 people in Cascavel this Wednesday (30).

Who can get vaccinated?
In this phase of the campaign, which has until May 9 to end, the target audience is made up of chronic patients, people with special clinical conditions, the prison system, professionals from the security and rescue forces, port workers, truckers, drivers and Public transport collectors, young people from 12 to 21 years old under socio-educational measures. Children older than six months who have a chronic illness have been added to this group.
In total, there are more than 29 thousand people who fit the profile of the second phase of the campaign, recalling that 10,300 of that contingent have already received the influenza dose, including the penitentiary system that received 2,300 doses.
People who should have been vaccinated in the first phase of the campaign, but who for some reason were not vaccinated, can also be vaccinated starting Tuesday. That is, people over 60 and health professionals.
How do I show that I am part of the priority group?
One of the doubts of the population is related to the way in which chronic patients or people with special needs will be able to demonstrate that they are part of the priority group for vaccination.
According to the PMI, these citizens will only have to present a prescription, even with an outdated date or a medicine. Cards for hypertensive, diabetic and other comorbidities will also be accepted.
With respect to truck drivers, including self-employed drivers and also public transport pickers, the following documents will be accepted: job card, paycheck, union membership card, CNH in categories C, D or E, badge functional.
The Ministry of Health even suspended vaccination throughout the national territory, allowing only the National Flu Vaccination Campaign. Following the agency’s determinations, the Cascavel Health Department temporarily interrupted the application of vaccines in the Municipality.
However, with the new federal government launch, Cascavel will resume the vaccination program this Tuesday (28), but only by appointment.
