The Portuguese rider will start this Sunday’s race in 15th position on the grid

Miguel Oliveira explained that it was the “lack of temperature in the tires” of his KTM that caused the falls in the third free practice session, this Saturday for the Emilia Romagna MotoGP GP.

“The tires were cold and that’s why I fell. I kept going to the medical center, I did a quick exam, but it seems that everything is fine”said the Portuguese pilot quoted by the Lusa agency.

The Portuguese rider added that “when you fall because the tires are cold, there is not much to do”, but, regarding the march between the KTM of the official team and Tech3, the Portuguese rider believes that there are differences.

The Falcon went no further than 15th place in classification for the race this Sunday. His Tech3 teammate, Iker Lecuona, ranked 13th.

The official team KTMs were both in the top 10, with Pol Espargaró in fourth place on the grid and Brad Binder in sixth, and Oliveira believes that the Spaniard and the South African have “something else in the set-up of their bikes” and that, therefore, “they are faster” than the Tech3 pilots.

“The bikes are exactly the same, but in terms of set-up, they must have something different. But we’ll see tomorrow. [no domingo]. We have a good race pace. I just need to start better than last week and move forward from the beginning “, advanced the Portuguese pilot.

With the majority of riders improving their times compared to last week’s race, at the same circuit in Misano, Miguel Oliveira admits that this time “you have to take more risks to be closer to the top”, especially because the times “They are very close.”

With six races already contested in the 2020 championship of the top speed motorcycle category, the Portuguese rider occupies the tenth position, with 48 points, 28 from the leader, the Italian Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati).
