Although Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has not yet announced his re-election, the poll by Porto Canal and the weekly Sol uses “presumed candidates” and gives him victory in the first round of the January elections, with 61.0%.

In second place, with 11%, appears Chega’s candidate, André Ventura, but the advantage of only one percentage point over the former member of the PS ME, Ana Gomes, is less than the margin of error of the survey, of 2, 99%. .

Marisa Matias, supported by BE, ranks fourth, with 8.5%, and also with a difference from Ventura and Ana Gomes below the margin of error in the survey.

The candidate supported by the PCP, João Ferreira, collected 5.5% of the voting intentions, followed by Tiago Mayan Alves, from the Liberal Initiative, who obtained 1%.

In the Eurosondage study, conducted between the 12th and 15th through 1,072 validated interviews, 19.6% of the respondents are undecided or have not wanted or been able to answer. The maximum sample error is 2.99% for a probability degree of 95.0%.
