Marcelo and Costa attended mass together for the victims of Covid-19 in Fatima

Pandemic has claimed more than three thousand deaths in the country.

The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and the Prime Minister, António Costa, attended this Saturday a mass in memory of the victims of the covid-19 pandemic, in Fatima.

The religious ceremony began at 11:00 am, in the Basilica of the Holy Trinity of the Sanctuary of Fatima, and was celebrated by the president of the Portuguese Episcopal Conference, D. José Ornelas.

It is recalled that the covid-19 has already claimed more than 3,200 deaths in Portugal.

This Saturday’s mass marks the end of the 199th Plenary Assembly of the Portuguese Episcopal Conference.

Mass in memory of the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrated in the Basilica of the Holy Trinity with the presence of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister.
