Matías Morla, lawyer for Diego Maradona, who died this Wednesday at the age of 60, issued a statement in which he guarantees that he will request that the death of the soccer star be investigated “until the last consequences.”

The lawyer questions the alleged inaction of the people who were caring for Maradona at the time of his death and also says that the ambulance took more than half an hour to arrive.

“As for the report of the Public Ministry of San Isidro, it is inexplicable that for 12 hours my friend did not have the care or control by the health personnel assigned for these purposes,” it reads.

“The ambulance took more than half an hour to arrive, which was criminal idiocy,” he added.

Matías Morlo guarantees that these facts should not be forgotten and that “he will request an investigation to the last consequences.”

“As Diego said: you are my soldier, act without mercy,” he says saying goodbye to the Argentine star, whom he described as “a good son”, “the best soccer player in history” and “an honest person.”
