The man who disappeared since Thursday, in Esposende, was found alive after the GNR found the vehicle in the municipality of Barcelos, next to the Cávado river, where it would be, in a deserted place.

An official source told O MINHO that the man, a resident of Esposende, would have become disoriented after leaving home, eventually asking his family for help by cell phone, indicating that he was trapped with his car in the Marechão area.

However, he ended up running out of battery in the electronic device and it became impossible for the family to locate him, with the support of the authorities.

The guard’s initial searches focused on the Fonte Boa area in Esposende, but ended up spreading to the entire Cávado river, with the help of firefighters from Fão and Barcelinhos.

According to the CDOS district, the victim was found at the end of the morning today, inside the car, in a deserted place next to the Cávado river, but already in the municipality of Barcelos.

He ended up being transferred to the local hospital as a precaution, since he was in direct exposure to the cold for more than 12 hours.
