It is believed that in France you are already feeling the cold but that the police catch it, in the morning, driving with a blood alcohol level of 2.4 grams per liter of blood is still admirable.

The 58-year-old driver was searched at 8 am on Monday south of Bordeaux by the Landes gendarmerie as he was driving his farm tractor.

The tractor driver was told to pull over after officers saw him driving with a beer bottle in hand as he was driven past.

The police control was a succession of surprise fouls for the gendarmes: first, they found a pack of beers, already opened, hidden under the seat of the tractor.

As if “bad luck” weren’t enough, officers discovered that the driver’s license was seized a week ago.

On September 22, they had already checked him with 2.5 grams per liter of blood at the wheel of one of his two cars.

In addition, he was not wearing a seat belt and had not passed a mandatory technical inspection of the tractor.

Immediately arrested, he was sentenced in summary proceedings to three months in prison. The two cars, as well as the tractor, were seized, the driver’s license was canceled and he could not be retested for two years.
