Madeira counts this Friday, November 13, another 10 new cases of Covid-19. The data published by IASáude indicate that seven of these new cases are of local transmission. The rest are from Poland (2) and Spain (1).

In total, according to the daily IASAÚDE bulletin, there are 192 active cases, of which 121 are imported cases identified in the context of surveillance activities implemented at the Madeira airport and 71 are cases of local transmission. Regarding the residence of active cases, 104 are non-residents and 88 are residents of the RAM.

At this time 65 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, 123 in their own accommodation and 4 people are hospitalized in the Multipurpose Unit dedicated to COVID-19.

This Friday we have 56 new situations that are being studied by the health authorities, 2 from the detection operation implemented at the Madeira airport and 54 related to contacts with positive cases or situations reported to the SRS24 line. Epidemiological investigations are ongoing.

Regarding the active surveillance of cases of positive contacts, 625 people are being monitored by the health authorities of the different provinces of the region. Regarding the surveillance of travelers, 10,430 people are also being accompanied by the authorities, using the MadeiraSafe application.

Regarding the COVID-19 screening tests carried out in RAM, it should be noted that: in the context of the passenger screening operation in the ports and airports of Madeira and Porto Santo, there is a cumulative total of 105,386 harvests per test to COVID-19 until 5:30 pm today. The samples processed in the SESARAM Clinical Pathology laboratory amount to 163479.
