Lucas Veríssimo’s business on the brink of bankruptcy after new leadership from the Santos Fiscal Council – Benfica

The Santos Fiscal Council presented, in a session this Friday morning, its second negative opinion on Lucas Veríssimo’s Benfica proposal. In this way, the Fish Deliberative Council, as happened in the previous meeting, will not vote on this issue, leaving the business on the brink of rupture. The CF believes that the terms of this transfer “will affect the future management” of the club, the Brazilian press anticipates.

It should be remembered that Benfica offered a higher gross value (6.5 million euros) than that presented by Al Nassr (5.4 million euros), but conditions were “worse for Santos”. Benfica intended to pay the player in five installments (one per year) until August 2025. This would lead Santos to anticipate the total amount of the transfer through a Belgian financial institution, with a cost rate between 5.2 and 5.5 per percent of the total amount. Adding the payments of 10% to the player and 15% to his agent, Peixe would only have about 3.8 million euros.

Al Nassr provided the payment in two installments, one immediately after the player signed a contract and the other until January 31, 2021. Santos would have to pay the same 10% to Lucas Veríssimo and 15% to the businessman, but with the advantage of No need to anticipate payments, so that 4.2 million euros would enter the club’s coffers, approximately 400 thousand euros more than the proposal made by Benfica.
