Lisbon Metro with traffic disturbances on Wednesday due to plenary – Observer

The Lisbon Metro will present disturbances in the circulation of trains this Wednesday morning due to the celebration of a general plenary session of workers, the company announced this Tuesday.

In a note published on the official website, Metropolitano de Lisboa, states that, in the October 21, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., “There may be alterations in the movement of the train.”

According to a union source to Lusa, the labor contract negotiations are underway, which should have concluded at the beginning of the year, but which, due to the pandemic, were postponed.

The source of the Portuguese Road and Urban Transport Workers Union (STRUP) declined to give further details, indicating that the company’s management proposal will be presented to workers on Wednesday.

Among the different proposals of the complaints book, in the last plenary session of workers it was decided, according to the page of the Trade Union Federation of Transport and Communications (FECTRANS), that they will focus only on two matters, namely, salary increase and extension of the term minimum of 2 years, creating stabilization in labor relations.
