Lisbon Metro awards a new work for the creation of the circular line. The consortium that unites Teixeira Duarte and Somafel will have less than two years to work on the Campo Grande viaducts, which will allow changes to the green and yellow lines. The contract has yet to be signed, but it is already known that the value of this contract – the third in this expansion phase – is 19.5 million euros, to which is added VAT. The global investment is 210 million.
“Metropolitano de Lisboa, after the tender carried out for this purpose, approved, on October 1, 2020, the award of the medesign and construction of rough surfaces, finishes and systems within the scope of the Lisbon Metropolitan Expansion Plan – Expansion of the Yellow and Green Lines (Campo Grande viaducts – Lot 3) ”, points out a statement sent by the company to the newsrooms.

Teixeira Duarte, Engineering and Construction and Somafel, Engineering and Railway Works constitute the consortium that, at the contractual price of 19,497,608.44 euros, in addition to current VAT, you will have to ensure this effort. The second proposal for this contest came from Ramalho Rosa Cobetar, Sociedad de Construções, SA / FCC Construcción, SA, but the price of the contract was higher: 29 million euros plus VAT. The base price of the contest was 21 million.

The first project, responsible for the connection between Rato and the future Santos station, will be in charge of Zagope, at a cost of 48.6 million, plus VAT.
