The British Mercedes driver took pole position for the Portuguese Grand Prix
This Saturday Lewis Hamilton achieved the 97th pole position of his career after being faster in ranking for the Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix. The Briton, from Mercedes, made the fastest lap on the Portimão track in 1 minute, 16 seconds and 652 thousandths and, at the end of the session, admitted that he had great difficulties to overcome to your partner. “I can’t even say how difficult it was today! I saw Valtteri get through every session and I have been trying to find the best time. I chose to do three laps to get a chance to beat his time,” said Hamilton.
