Leda da Silva Neto (pictured with her family), the youngest of the three children of Angola’s first president, died of a prolonged illness.

The youngest daughter of António Agostinho Neto and Eugénia Neto was 57 years old, she was born on January 5, 1964 in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, where the countries were due to the political activity of the then leader of the MPLA.

Leda was named after Leda Giulini, an Italian woman of Bulgarian descent who would become her godmother.
