The body was found in a forest area of ​​the Lamego parish and will be subjected to a medico-legal autopsy.

According to the Observer, at that time, an official source from the GNR Viseu Territorial Command, the 63-year-old man fired seven times with a firearm, killing the ex-wife and shooting his colleague in the leg. This time he was hospitalized, but he is already “out of danger.”

The alleged perpetrator of the crime was charged last year with domestic violence, but the investigating judge ended up determining the provisional suspension of the process, for a period of eight months, which is still ongoing. At that time, the attacker was forced to pay 300 euros and was prohibited from approaching his ex-wife, who ended up leaving the house and proceeding with the divorce process.

Four days after the crime, the Observer was already aware of the authorities’ suspicion that the alleged murderer had committed suicide. “The series indicates that this can happen,” said a source from the GNR, explaining that, in this type of crime, suicide after homicide occurs on a recurring basis.

It was at this time that searches around the town of Lalim and the forest area near the crime scene began to include tracking dogs, capable of detecting the smell of the corpse. This Saturday, three weeks after the crime, the body of Lalim’s murderer was finally found.
