Kwanza Bank loses more than AKZ 515 million

Banco Kwanza Invest (BKI) recorded net losses of the order of 515,211 million kwanzas, in fiscal year 2019, indicates an audited report by the company. The balance shows a total of net assets of the order of AKZ 10,432,190 and own funds in the amount of thousands, of 7,119,129, which includes the accumulated net results for the year.

As in previous years, the year of 2019 was characterized by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco Kwanza Invest, Adriano de Carvalho, for the continuation of a particularly difficult economic situation, which is expected to increase in 2020, due to the effects of 19)

In view of the observed net losses, Adriano de Carvalho, in his message to which ANGOP had access, says that his Board will present to the shareholders a proposal to reinforce the financial capital of the financial institution and a growth plan.

For the most varied economic contexts recorded in 2019, the manager of the financial institution in question says that they have focused their attention on the most profitable business segments, on careful risk management and cost control.

Its objective is to continually improve its operational efficiency, in order to keep its radios in compliance with regulations for the financial sector and positive levels of profitability. BKI shareholders held their extraordinary general meeting on April 20, at the request of Swiss-Angolan shareholder and businessman Jean-Claude Bastos.
