The president of the United States, Joe Biden, surpassed the five million votes ahead of the outgoing Donald Trump on Wednesday, totaling 77.4 million counted votes.
According to the most recent count, it is confirmed that Joe Biden became the Most voted presidential candidate in the history of elections in the United States, totaling 77.4 million votes, compared to 72.3 million obtained by Republican Donald Trump.
In the Electoral College, Joe Biden counts 290 votes and Donald Trump 217. The Electoral College is a body made up of 538 delegates elected by the states according to their population. The winning candidate in each state, even by a single vote, guarantees all representatives except Nebraska and Maine, and whoever guarantees 270 wins the election.
Joe biden has already obtained enough electoral votes to be elected as the next president from the US, but Donald Trump, who was seeking reelection, accuses the Democrats of “stealing the elections” and has denounced, without providing evidence, the existence of “electoral fraud”, having presented several complaints to the courts. Meanwhile, Georgia’s electoral services announced Wednesday an audit of the results in that state, which will trigger a vote recount. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said today that his office wants the full count process to begin by the end of the week and end on November 20. After certifying the results of the manual count, which is ending, the Republican Party may request another recount, which will be done by machines, Raffensperger explained.
